guidebook FAQs

How challenging are the guidebooks?
The guidebooks are designed to capture the imagination of a wide range of ages. We find the guidebooks are interesting for kids of all ages and interests. There’s something in them for everyone.

Do we share one book for the family?
The guidebooks are designed as individual journals where each traveler writes down their own musings, creating a keepsake of the trip as they go along. We recommend getting each young traveler their own book.

What do we do with the book once we return home?
The guidebook is the PERFECT souvenir to return to again and again to remember the stories, adventures, and learnings of your time together. It’s the perfect way to keep the learnings alive.

Do we have to complete each page of the book?
Heck no! It’s not an exam or a competitive sport. Fill in the parts you find interesting and move past the pages that don’t pique your attention. Some travelers prefer to remove the pages on places they won’t visit. We recommend keeping the pages intact just in case you want to return on your next visit.

These guidebooks look too advanced for my child and my child gets easily bored when they have to read.
The guidebooks span a wide range of ages and interests. The best way to use the guide is for the adults to explore the book together. That’s the ‘interactive’ part of the ‘interactive guidebooks.’

Is the guidebook only for children?
Nope. We have heard from many parents that the information—and questions—contained in the guide were extremely helpful for them both in preparing for the trip and during the trip. Use the questions in the guide as a template to come up with your own questions to bring about the greatest amount of learning.
