On their first family trip to Paris, Melissa created a simple guidebook filled with questions and activities for their three kids to write and draw about their experiences. The kids loved it, and soon other parents were asking where they could get a copy. After many years of travel and two years living abroad as expats in Paris, she brought her vision to life by creating the official Curiocity Travel Guides series.
Melissa is a former camp counselor, wilderness guide, yoga teacher, and retired university instructor. She is also an EMT, which comes in handy when out exploring the world. But her favorite job is sharing her love of adventure with her family. When not writing, Melissa tends to her beehives, learning about the fascinating social structure of the hive and trying to give them all individual names. She will humbly brag that she has the best honey in Denver!
